Not much luck of late with the ST...

Cars been parked up for a week or two so decided to start it and let it tick over for a bit... Was fine initially and then noticed smoke from the engine bay, so shut the car off and opened up the bonnet - smoke everywhere! Also noticed some coolant on the ground as well :sob:

Perfect, didn't have a chance to get a proper look yesterday so hopefully get down later today. Header tank and hoses will be simple enough to replace.

Non stop issues, just had the abs unit and stuff rebuilt as well 🙈

Mk3 is completely different, mk2 ST tank is unique, no other tank will fit.
I will agree that the tanks aren't as identical as I thought, but as I said from memory on changing them.

Blue one is my st, red one is 1.0 focus, what the mk3 st uses I can't be sure, but I can be sure that the material is prone to cracks and fractures across the ford range........generally.........on the cars I've worked on.........in europe........
