Hi guys. This forum is really awesome so i figured it would be a nice place to keep track of what i do to my ST.

I have no clue if it is an st2 or st3,maybe somebody can identify it for me lol.

Quick summary...I bought it in February with 120 000km on the clock. It was completely stock besides a decat.

Image

Mods i have done so far are:
-Resonator delete
-Motorcade bottom mount intake
-ARC coilovers
-Polished the headlights
-Full LED package

Mods i have on order
-Maxton lip
-RS wing
-Rogue performance 76mm downpipe
-Pumaspeed BOV

I plan to have the block mod, waterpump and cambelt done towards the end of May.

I'll just post a few random pics now.One a pic of what i used to drive before getting my st.Another is of my buddys st.His dad has a 225 and a 250 so they've been really helpful.

Ah i see, that makes sense why we have so many cars with completely different specs.

Small update.Dealing with small businesses here in South Africa gives me chest pains.I still haven't received my wing and splitter due to "weather".

I placed my order for the downpipe on the companies webstore and they state that they will send me banking details but up till now,I haven't received anything so I'll probably be getting it from somewhere else.

I discovered the joys of ebay lastnight lol and ordered the rs vac pipe kit and the prohose turbo to crossover pipe as mine has seen better days.I want to order a nice ecu holder but can't decide between the direnza or airtec one,any suggestions???

So my crossover to turbo pipe and rs vac pipe should arrive next week and downpipe with short shifter the week after. For now i seem to have picked up an oil leak and a torn inner cv boot.I did service both drive shafts in march so hopefully it is just the one that will need replacing.

I plan on sending it for a full detail once i sort out the little odds and ends.

Finally managed to fit the downpipe.Spool feels much better but the car sounds the same for some reason???...weird.

I fitted the turbo to crossover pipe this morning.A quick 10 min mod and it sounds sooo much better.I think luck was on my side because the clamps were really easy to get to thankfully.

I am starting to get a bit concerned about the vac pipe.ETA was on the 5th.I messaged ebay on the 7th just to get an update and the seller gave me a tracking number stating that it left the UK on the 5th.The tracking number doesn't work beyond that so i have no idea where the parcel is.I will wait until the 16th then submit for a refund if it doesn't show up.

So after a strongly worded response to this guy,he supplied me with an updated tracking number and it seems like the pipe is in south africa.

I've been dealing with covid for the last week so didn't get much done but do have a few updates.

So after losing my K&N filter,I've decided to ditch the bottom mount intake for now and just go with a 90° bend from the MAF so the filter will sit infront of the battery.I ordered a big mouth snorkel to hopefully feed some cool air into that area and will work on a heat shield sometime in the future.

I've gotten abit annoyed by doing things in drips and drabs so I've decided to wait until all outstanding parts are here and spend 1 day fitting them.I am waiting for:
RS bonnet vents
RS wing(Still!!!!!)
RS vac pipe
Pumaspeed BOV

The previous owner had painted the rear diffuser and both front grills but the paint had started peeling so i took those off and sent them away to get painted in gloss black.

Sooooo...RS vents, wing and BOV arrived. The RS vac pipe is apparently sitting at the post office so i'll collect that either tomorrow or next week.

I got abit too excited to see the wing on so did a quick install for a pic or two.I still need to drill it to fit the brake light and I'd like to seal it so no water gets under it but overall pretty happy with the look.Excuse the dirty car,the weather has been ****e to say the least.

I also fitted the BOV and holy ****,a 20min job turned into 2 hours because of crappy pliers that refused to behave.I'm certain the symposer had a leak because the car pulls so much harder now!

I've ordered a SAIC intercooler kit, maxton rear diffuser, airtec ecu holder and munchkin racing plenum cover which i plan on hydrodipping once it arrives.

Overall i'm pretty happy with the ST.I haven't had any issues besides a split coolant line.Parts have been reasonably priced and there is a ton of support for all areas of the car.It certainly turns heads and that 5 pot sound is just the cherry on top.

I think i'll shoot him a quick message.I understand that things take time to come from the UK.My main issue was the lack of communication and when he did respond,it came across as cheeky lol.Maybe I'm imagining things.....anyway,I did a thing or two today.

I fitted the ecu holder, plenum cover and removed the bottom mount intake for now.Everything went smoothly until it was time for the test drive.

I took it out around the block and straight away could tell something was wrong.Power would come in and out,it would have a slight misfire between 2k rpm and 2.5k rpm and ran rich.I babied it home and firstly checked for only loose pipes or sensors.I then plugged in my scan tool and got p0017.I cleared it and took it out again but it did the same thing although this time i got a power steering malfunction warning on the cluster.Took it home again and the fault was back.I removed the KAM fuse and that didn't help either....a quick google search of the fault code tells me it is something to do with the exhaust cam position sensor.......the car was just fine before today which has me thinking i may have hurt a wire in the loom when fitting the plenum cover or ecu holder.........I feel like a dumb dumb.

So more parts have come in.The only outstanding part I am waiting for is the vac pipe.

I haven't bothered to dig into the CPS issue i have because i am a lazy blob.Hopefully i can have a look at it tomorrow and get it resolved.I still have a cv boot that i need to replace then i can drop the car of with my panelbeater to get everything fitted.

The next "big" spend will be a full suspension refresh and powerflex upgrade....but yeah let me not put the cart before the horse.

Will do but from what i can see,it has tabs on it so it looks like it just clips into place.

I got around the swapping the cam position sensors around and the fault code(P0017) remains the same.I checked the connector and loom for any damage and it seems ok.I measured voltage at the plug and that checked out also.

What are the chances that the belt may have slipped? The car starts fine but idle fluctuates now and then.

So it looks like I'll be getting the block mod, cambelt and waterpump done. All signs point to a timing issue on the exhaust cam so might aswell get it all done together. This is eating into my panelbeating budget unfortunately.

There are no trustworthy 225 specialists in my town so i will need to hire a trailer and take it to 1 about an hour away.Fingers crossed.
