What does this mean sorry if it's been answered before

I have symposer delete, I only did it as I didn't fancy the potential for a boost leak. I can't say I've noticed any difference in sound, my car is bloody loud, although since my Elevate top pipe the turbo noises are ironically elevated too, I'm sure they'd be far more pronounced if I wasn't running such a loud exhaust.

Once and for all a split symposer diaphragm CANNOT cause a boost leak - you could rip the centre out and it would not leak boost! The symposer diaphragm is in 2 halves, that is 2 chambers with a seal across the middle, if the boost side splits all you lose is noise to the cabin. The symposer diaphragm actually has a small hole in it when made (a hole in the centre, in each half), so if it wasn't sealed in 2 separate chambers it would leak from the factory.

CORRECT!

I removed mine to tidy the bay and to enjoy the genuine engine/exhaust noise. I removed the complete symposer feed pipe (rather than sticking a metal bung in the end) and sealed off the outlet on the inlet pipe with a silicone cap from ebay for less than ÂŁ2.

Hi Nigel,
Pls send me the details where to order this silicone cap (UK, EU). Should choose 35mm inner diameter? The hose from the cold boost pipe to the symposer is cracked in the middle of its lenght although still not leaking.

From here: Auto Silicone Hoses End Blanking Caps - Finishing Bungs Silicon Pipe Rubber | eBay

32mm is the right size. It will stretch over the plastic connector on the inlet that the old pipe fitted on to.

You obviously need a jubilee clip to hold it on.
Tnx, these want to charge me 38 £ for postage to Croatia. 👎 For example envelope sent via Royal mail signed is a few £ .

So I take the silicone cap of 32mm inner diameter, was planing to re-use the existing spring clamp. Dat Ok?
