All 4 of mine do it... Think its called Global Close or somthing.....

Yep you need the global close option fitted in order for your windows to do that. IIRC is was an option from Ford.

 

Or standard on the 2010 cars

 

Ok i may be totaly wrong but...surely its just a case of coding the ecu.

Being from a VW background all i had to do was plug a car into the diagnostic computer and change a number from a 1 to a 2 in the convinience module. I could enable alarm beeps and auto closure that locked all the doors when the car was going over 5 mph.

I have no idea if things like this are possible on Fords !!

 

Hmmm my car is a 2010. Seems odd that the windows go down with one touch of the switch... But not up?

 

Press the switch carefully, you'll feel when you press down, it will have 2 notches, one for down and stop when you let your finger off, and the second notch for auto down. If you've got the same 2 notches in the up position, then it should work. You can re-program them by pushing the switch in the up position and holding for 3 seconds with the wondow already closed.

 

My 2008 has the 2 notches for drivers down but nowt else, can you buy the new window button assembly and retro fit??

 

Nope, you will also need to change the window mechanisms as it will have extra springs and microswitches and probably the door loom too!

Just checked my windows and the drivers window has the 2 click setting if you double push the switch it's goes down automatically buy won't go back up without holding the switch all the way... And the passenger switch on the drivers door you've gotta hold the switch all the time to go both up and down..

 

I think the graphics, indicate that its only one touch down on the drivers side.

Maybe its not one touch up, so you can trap body parts in the window gap, as it goes up

Another thing to check for (but again I think its only on cars fitted with global closure) is the ability to open and close your windows using the lock and unlock buttons on the remote fob. So simple, but so cool

Used to be able to do it on my old mondeo, global opening / closing. Auto up the window and put your arm in the way, as soon as the glass hits your arm it goes straight down again, quite a good feature!

 

Mine has global open/close,really handy on the two days of summer when the cars baking inside.
Being a 5-door not too sure about the rears tho,if they are one touch. Then again,i don't do sitting in the rear of my own car too often..

 

Your cars may have the feature but not configured, mine was then ,disconnected the battery and lost the feature but managed to re configure can't quite remember how but google it that's what I did .

Basically you have to drop each window separately then back up and hold the button up for about 5-10 secs and release drop it back down , then when you flick it up it should come up on it's own in one touch !!!

This might not be exactly the right procedure but it is something along these lines hope it might solve some people's problems !!!

 

Mines on a 10 plate and they go both up and down with one touch!

 

cheers, this worked for me on an 06 st3

my battery wasnt the best after a week away so it had to be jumped

what i did was, get into car, ignition position 2, press drivers side windows down button, once down, press up and hold once it gets to the top for 5-10 secs

repeat for passanger window, and thats it, global up and down working again
