The bit that can be seen in this pic is in red - obviously a full circle.

Mine is completely loose with no seal at all, can be separated with the lightest of touches.

 

It should be a tight fit, have you had it apart?

 

Yep - loose as as a whores ............

Thats why I thought there should be an o-ring or similar to seal and hold this joint.

 

no o ring just locks together you have to twist the intake onto it .If you have had it apart you prob not been refitted correctly.Just remove the front plastic trim and then refit the intake and shoud be tight fit.

 

Right - did not twist to separate though - came apart very easily.

Will have a look in the morning.

 

lol nar just twists together and locks tight think you have to twist the intake about quarter of turn to make it lock

 

Think my car was finished on a Friday before quitting time definitely not joined together properly.

 

1/4 turn anti-clockwise is whats required, Cheers Adrian.

Also noticed there is a third pop rivet under the snorkel which was popped in but not through the snorkel - another shortcut?
