Don't get one.i suppose you could get some wrap.just enough to go over the front or stay well back of other cars to reduce the chances

 

See the odd one about, but they are not for me, but if you are happy having one...should protect from chips

 

Might protect from chips, but will probably gather grit underneath it which could do more damage.

My best method for avoiding stone chips is to keep my distance from the car in front. It's not perfect, but I get far less than other people I know who like to have a smaller gap.

 

Bonnet bras look absolutely ridiculous.

As Dave said above, leaving a bigger gap to the car in front when travelling at speed can help to reduce the chances of getting stone chips.

Unfortunately if you do a lot of motorway miles you are going to get them.

 

The only cars a bonnet bra looks good on is a.... nope, I can't recall ANY car they look good one. :lol:

 

So you want a chip free bonnet that nobody can see is chip free because it's covered up? Sounds like my ex covering our nice new sofa with some crappy old blankets to keep it looking new.

Agreed they do look aweful, as already suggested why don't you look into getting the whole bonnet professionally wrapped with a clear material. To be honest stone chips are just one of those things we all have to live with, same with dinks you may get in a car park etc

Or just don't drive up people's backsides which is the main cause of stone chips!

When I said stay well back of cars,this is only half the battle.as cars going opposite way will flick debris up also.my freshly painted bumpers have suffered.i must have got quite a large stone,wood etc as ivve got a staggered chip of 4 little holes/scrapes I'm gonna fill them with my paint match as it's right at the bottom of bumper

That looks to be at least a little better made than these 'electric superchargers' that were all the rage on EBay a few years back - but probably as effective?

I would put it in the same league as the cooker dial 'power knobs' and the cold air 'resistors'...............

That's not forgetting these bad boys for that proper turbo noise!!
