Hi guys. This forum is really awesome so i figured it would be a nice place to keep track of what i do to my ST.

I have no clue if it is an st2 or st3,maybe somebody can identify it for me lol.

Quick summary...I bought it in February with 120 000km on the clock. It was completely stock besides a decat.

Mods i have done so far are:

I plan to have the block mod, waterpump and cambelt done towards the end of May.

I'll just post a few random pics now.One a pic of what i used to drive before getting my st.Another is of my buddys st.His dad has a 225 and a 250 so they've been really helpful.

Yeah, they've been going for over 20 years. I remember buying a silicone hose set for my 2.8i Capri while they were still new on the scene and the quality back then was just as good if not better than the samco and they're still great today. I have some of their hoses on my puma and focus.

Heater matrix pipes arrived so now it's just a matter of fitting.

I had those 4.5" tips made up and asked if could be done in burnt finish. This is the rubbish I get sent a pic of.

Car has developed a small rust spot in the boot basically behind where the brake light sits when it is closed. The material around it already feels soft so I need to get that looked at once the weather clears up.

Logged the car and notice -7.5° only at WOT.Short term fuel trims look unaffected so I'm assuming a minor boost leak.

Old lip had seen better days so I fitted a new one.The complex I live in has security spikes that lower into the ground once the boom gate opens up.My dumbass takes off before the spikes are fully down and i get nice chunks taken out of the new lip by the spikes.

We've had non stop rain since Sunday afternoon and oh joy...driver side floor is soaked.

I moved the car to a different parking spot and the drip from the brake pedal area seems to have stopped but then I look up and see the a pillar is soaked lol..FML

Rain is only expected to stop on Friday so I'll check the sunroof drains as well as the scuttle panel drain.

Health has been really crappy lately so haven't had a chance to do much besides tape up the sunroof...

Was doing a few pulls a couple of weeks ago and saw that the car pulls 9 degrees of timing at WOT in all gears.I figured it was our notoriously bad fuel so threw in some octane booster and although the car felt better,it still pulls between 4-7 degrees.Short term fuel trims haven't been more than 2%.Guess I will start with a smoke test.

Haven't done much...winter has hit south africa hard.Did order new coilovers as the current ones are ****.Also bought a daily or should I say "daily"...I was after a small 4 door economical car that is cheap to maintain and hard to modify so naturally I went and bought something that is none of those things....2001 8L A3 1.8T.

So the audi engine decided to **** itself royally...this has forced me to get the focus ready for daily duty.Car is FINALLY going away tomorrow for:

-Oil change
-Aux belts
-Shock mountings
-New coilovers
-Control arms
-Heater matrix hoses
-Oil cooler hoses
-Sunroof leak
-Boost gauge fitment
-Sort out overboost issue

I will be eating grass for the next month or two but excited to get my focus back.It is long overdue.

Apparently my cooling system was flushed and this is fresh coolant🤣.Wheel nuts were left loose.Volt guage is missing.Steering wheel, door handle and arm rest is covered in grease.

Coolant bottle was crystal clear before the car went in but according to the mech,"it was like that" when asked why it's stained.Ended up not doing half of the planned work.

On a positive note.Car drives so much better with the new coilovers in.Night and day difference though I may need to remove the rear adjustors because the wheel gap is huge despite them being turned all the way down.

Overboost issue seemed to have vanished some how.Actuator received a little more preload so now boost peaks at 1.5bar and settles at around 1.1-1.2bar.

Fitted lip #4.Hopefully this one lasts lol

The body of my car is in a sad sad state.I need to send it to get the bumpers and skirts realigned as well as a few paint issues sorted.

The bootlid and bonnet are the worst but I can't decide between getting them resprayed or wrapped in a glossy carbon fibre.
