Hi all,
I recently picked up a 2007 Focus ST, ST2 Trim in Japan. The car does not play any audio from the stereo system (no radio, no music) and when taken to a dealership, they took out the unit and told me that the stereo system was not connected to the Sony unit. (They told me that the previous owner must have swapped the Sony unit for an aftermarket one, then swapped the Sony unit back into the car but never wired anything together.

Can someone help me with what parts I need to connect the Sony unit to my car? The unit itself seems to work, and all the wiring seems to be intact.

Thanks in advance!

When I replaced the OE radio with another Sony unit that I thought would have just gone straight in I had to buy a couple of patch leads IIRC and an adaptor for the aerial. But as @Bigayal said if there was an aftermarket one in before the original connectors should be there unless they were cut off and new ones put in.

Do you not need to have a harness?

If im being completely honest, I have no idea if the wiring is stock or different. If you don’t mind, I’ll take the radio apart and send some pictures of what I’m working with when I get the radio removal pins from Amazon.

If the stock plugs are still on the loom it will just plug straight in if they are gone they are readily available
