Why Are Ford Trying To Rip Me Off!!

Cheers Kosmo but at the moment i'm not sure if it the inner or the outer CV joint as yet, I just wanted to gauge how it might cost me.

Because the parts available elsewhere are non-genuine parts, dealers can only sell genuine ford parts (except in rare cases and if they are marked up as non-genuine) so if Ford don't make them they cannot sell them!

Of course Ford "should" make them, but they don't unfortunately so were all stuck and if we want genuine we have to buy whatever they supply.

read somewhere that the focus diesel uses the same driveshafts! maybe fraud list a cv joint for the diesel? if not, im sure a diesel driveshaft would be more plentfull at your local scrappy. does any one out there know if this is true or not?

I would love to find out if that was true, i'm looking around at the moment for a second hand as i just don't have £500 for a brand spanky new one.

I wanted to buy the silver part of the gear stick for my old corsa (that was berfore I had the ) and rang Vauxhall to get the part and they said you have to buy the complete gear linkage (£80). had a look on Ebay and found the silver part for £10
