Has nobody every done a thread stating all the differences between the two. Anybody want to add some differences on his thread.

I don't think there is a single shared bodypanel - is there?

I walked round a facelift and a prefacelift parked next to each other at a recent meet, and I couldn't see a single bodypanel that was the same.......apart from the fuel-filler cap?

Also, I know that the fusebox under the glovebox is very different between the two cars......whereas the fusebox under the bonnet is the same.

Basically there firgging LOADS different. Wheels, mirrors, tailgate design, side "Kinetoc desogn" mouldings/strip, not "rubbing strips", EasyFuel capless fuel filler (awesome), push button start, different centre console and dash, different instrument cluster, sliding armrest....

But mechanicals are all the same.

Roof only. That's it. Not ST related, but a point of note is that facelift cabriolet coupe has different wings to a facelift hatch/saloon and the doors and body shell from wings backwards are exactly same as prefacelift CC

Nope, also different. Facelift filler cap has the Kinetic Design strip moulded in it

As people have already said, the differences really are stylistic and it's down to personal choice. They're both fine cars.

The pre-facelift (a.k.a. "The original") has:

Plastic fog surrounds and trim
Bigger (longer) ST Badges
The "flyback lines" (I really wish I knew what they were called) on the rear arches. I really like them and I don't know why they removed them on the facelift.
Smaller wing mirrors
Slightly bigger gaps around the edges of the alloys.

I feel the facelift is marginally more difficult to distinguish from a Titanium when you look at them head on or even from the side, but maybe that's just me. I think the fake carbon fibre is growing on me though.
