Going for a wee day out to Andrew Gallacher for a map for the ST today cant wait

Do any of you guys have any info on this car?

Noticed the reg # in one of Stew's other posts (about wheel options) and by sheer coincidence it is the car I have just bought (but not picked up yet!)

I've dropped Stew a private message but not sure if he'll still be using the forum if he's sold his car lol.

It's still got the exhaust fitted but would be great to know if it still has a Map on it.

It did feel pretty good on the test drive but I've never driven a standard ST to compare. However, I didn't really notice any difference between this and my 3 MPS so I had a sneaky suspision it may of been remapped.

Hopefully picking the car up this weekend if my plate transfer goes through in time.

Nice one, cheers. Will check that once I pick it up.

You don't happen to know what it was running/should be running BHP wise do you? Not that it really matters to be fair but would be nice to know.

Be interesting to see how the garage get on with MOT'ing it as it's due its first MOT and from what I can gather, it had a decat fitted.

Will have to check once I see the car again and if it does have a decat fitted I'll have to query how they got it through the MOT lol.

Possibly change it for a sports CAT at some point as I'm assuming that avoids any emissions issues?

If it has a map on it already what would you advise tuning wise.

This is to be my daily driver but tempted with intercooler then map but would I need a full new map or could the existing one just be updated if I find out where it was done?

Edit: Just noticed the bit above about +50bhp so if its still fitted it should be about 275bhp?!

That would explain why it didn't feel any slower than my MPS!

I'm guessing if it was a standard MAP it would feel a fair bit slower than my MPS at the moment.

Intercooler and updated map should see 300bhp if I've read/searched everything right then?

Filter has been removed and as far as I can remember, the intercooler looked standard (will have to double check).

I guess they'd be easy enough to whip off and sell though but I wouldn't have thought the clutch would've been removed as that would be a bit of a pain/pointless.

Will have a good look over the car when I pick it up but looks like all I might need is an intercooler, air filter and it'll be running what it was before?!

If it's been mapped with an intercooler and filter fitted, will that cause any issues now that they have been taken off or will it be safe enough?

Will prob get an intercooler sorted out straight away anyway so should be fine there.

Was just off the phone to the garage seeing when the car would be ready etc.

Apparently in the Ford garage at the moment as they reckoned there was a problem with the clutch.

I said that I'd found a few things out about the car an that it might have an RS clutch fitted. Asked him if he reckoned this would cause it but he said there's no way it would have that fitted and then said it was something to do with the flywheel.

Am I right in thinking that the combination of the RS clutch and uprated gearbox mount could cause a judder? I didn't notice anything wrong with it when I test drove it to be fair.

Away to try and phone up the ford garage on the QT and see what the deal is.
