Very sad to be loosing all these brave young people, myself and my family will be selling poppies this weekend, two off my kids are playing in there scout and guide band and my son will be marching with his police cadet unit in sundays rememberance parade and service in Kingston.

I left the Army after 4 years last week, did one tour of Iraq but never went to Afghanistan

I have a Rememberance Day Service this weekend,a group of us attend every year as one of my best mates died while serving in the Army.

Another mate just got back to the UK yesterday from Afghan....thank god

been to the 'stan twice now, both times have been during november, those were remeberence parades that stick in your memory, ..... at the setting of the sun we shall rememeber them

Had me thinking about the story in the papers about the shop that banned its staff from wearing poppies.

I have had mine for over a week now.

I dunno about anyone else but even when I have one, and I walk past one of the 'ol boys selling poppy's I often still pop some change in the jar??
