As the title suggests got my Vibra-Technics Torque Mount fitted today along with 4 new Verds. All i can say is that when i read some of the threads on here i thought people were maybe over exagerating or it was maybe in there heads a wee bit, i only got it to stop the gear change clunk personally.

But boy was i wrong the car feels totally planted now, it feels quicker, gear changes are smoother and also the clunk has completely gone when changing gears at low speed. Great piece of kit would highly reccomend it, thumbs up to the verds as well heard that they take about a 1000 miles or so to bed in but i'm impressed way them already.

QUOTE(STMartin @ 1 Feb 2010, 01:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>How long did it take you / the garage to fit mate?

Might get mine fitted this afternoon if i have enough time

took about 25 minutes or something wasn't a big job, think you just take the battery out and you can do it from there a think don't quote me on it but, might be a How To Guide on here. Ma mate done it for me

Garage charged me a tenner to fit it!

As soon as i started it up i could feel this vibration you all speak of... I don't think it's anything to be wary of. Personally i love it as it reminds me of a sportscar!!! lol

As to emphasise the OP's comments, it transforms the car into something else, a different beast!!
It does slightly remind me of an EP3 Civic Type R the way it feels, it's superb.

GET ONE!

Had mine fitted at pumabuild today, took it out for a drive and the gear change is a lot quicker but still a bit clunky. Also the vibrations have made everything rattle which before i had it fitted nothing rattled. Hopefully it will die down otherwise it will be coming off as it totally ruins it. Wish i hadnt bothered now to be honest

Ditto,
Im seriously considering one of these as the engine swings about like a chimp after a bannana, but i use my car for family stuff so dont fancy it rattling and shaking on long-already annoying enough trips.

I've had one fitted today and now wish i had done this months ago. Yes there is a vibration when the car is sat still with the engine ticking over but on the move it's just the same as the standard mount. The gear changes are alittle smother but the whole car seems tighter and much much better to drive

How much are these badboys? Has anyone got a picture of the underneath of the car showing where it goes?

Finally, do you have to support whatever the mount is holding up whilst you swap it over?
