Tyre Valves

Hi everone, while washing the car in the pouring rain yesterday ( neighbour thinks i'm a nutter).

I noticed that the valves on the nearside are chrome

and the offside are the normal plain black plastic.

What did they come with new as its bugging the hell out of me at the mo.

Cheers chaps & chapesess, Dave.

Not sure if they come fitted as standard on the
but I had them on a previous car and they are just a chrome sleeve that slides over the valve stem.

Hi Mike,

Think i sussed it had a look on e-bay and it looks like what you say.

The 2 wheels in question have been refurbed and it looks like they didn't bother to put the chrome covers back on.

I think the OP was refering to the valve covers and not the valve cap's

Kwik Fit sell the chrome valve sleeves and a cheapo plastic valve cap for around£1.50 each IIRC
