Did anyonne on here have Tamiya models when they were a kid ? If so you might be interested to know that Tamiya are re releasing the Sand Scorcher. (at last)
I have pre ordered two, one for me and one for the little un. Thought one day we might build them together, as I learnt so much from building one when I was a kid. I still have my original one and its in good condition.

They re- released the rough rider earlier in the year, it is identical apart from some minor changes to the metal parts. And it says buggy champ on the box instead of rough rider.
This guy is selling one brand new unbuilt & cheap on ebay at the moment, if you are interested. It rrp's at approc £269

Had a hornet but I sold that with my radio gear. For some reason I kept hold of the scorcher chasis body and box. I think this is cos it looks so damm cute I couldn't part with it. Mine is pretty much complete apart from half the rear exhaust is missing. So glad I kept it as good originals go for a small fortune on ebay.
My brother has a Scorcher a Rough rider, and a mint Bruiser he also has a Kyosho Optima Mid Turbo that goes like stink.
I've got the Escort Cossie, TL01 chassis I think. Did get a later Focus shell with Martini graphics but keeping that one mint while the Escort has seen better days.
May drag it out for a play at the next Wolf day if everyone promises not to run it over
I had the Big Wig and Kyosho Optima (i think it wa called this) More recently i had a petrol subaru and then i bought a 1/8th scale petrol buggy. And the wife keeps saying i never grow up :lol:my mate did. It was huge
