Swaping From Scorpion To Mongoose Or Piper

ive got a full piper decat and im more than pleased with it....yes it is loud but you can hear everythin the engine is doing! where abouts are you, think you need to hear one to appreciate it

Here's mine, Mongoose downpipe, decat and Piper cat back, the vid doesnt really do it justice as it is very loud.

is that boomy on the motorway? sounds amazing, is the mongoose as loud

Yes it is a bit boomy on the motorway. You can just cruise at 70 in 6th and its ok but as soon as you hit a bit of a hill and you have to put your foot down it becomes boomy. It doesnt bother me and I dont do a lot of motorway driving anyway. Dont know what it would be like with a mongoose cat back but it maybe a little quieter.

think ill get a piper,love the pops and bags off mine just now and listening to your sound clips it just sounds like they are mega loud gun shot style

I ran a full Magnex with decat for a few weeks and the cruising boom was awful. I felt it totally ruined the car It went away if I floored it but for everyday driving I just hated it and refitted the standard cat until I got a sports cat.

Still need to drive my mate's ST with same combo apart from Mongoose and see if it's the same when cruising, might just be something with the cat-back I bought.

If you find boom too much i'm selling a new Mongoose Sports cat

Thanks for the offer troy, but I like the boom! tbh if I drive it normally and just cruise Ive found it not to be too much different to the piper sports cat that I changed from, but its certainly louder when giving it some. It makes it sound faster than it actually is.

mongoose. mongoose MONGOOSE. ist the dogs hangers. even the wife thinks its woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. so its good for me. go for it. sounds awsome.....
