Hi all

I've been getting a strange noise from the ST lately. It occurs at 15mph and I can hear it until 30 mph either because it stops, or the road noise starts to cover it.

It sounds like a fan running (I've turned the fan off a couple of times as I thought it was that getting noisy), or a pump, or a bearing, something like that. Sounds to be coming from the right of the engine bay.

Any ideas, as it's really irritating, especially now I know it's there.

Thanks

Col

QUOTE(wolfman @ 7 Jan 2010, 04:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I would like to guess that it might be the electric powersteering pump running ( it is located in the drivers side front wing) - does the pitch/noise vary if the steering is turned from lock to lock?

Funny you should say that!!! I've just had exactly that conversation with my wife on the way back home. It does vary the pitch when the wheel is moved very slightly.

Should it be that noisy??

Cheers
