<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I can confirm that the car
would go down on MIAFTR as stolen & recovered (and therefore would show up on any HPI/Experian checks, regardless of whether there is/was any damage to the car when recovered. After all it is a stolen and recovered car, so has to be recorded as such.
Unfortunately, I work for an Insurance Company, in the Motor Claims department.
i was told by my insurance company that its only counted as stolen recovered if the car is not found and they pay out for a total loss and then if its found after they have payed out then it is recorded as a stolen recovered but if they dont pay out for a total loss then its just handed back to u as long as its not damaged if its damaged they fix it but it only goes down as a claim.
If u are right in what u say y would my insurance company tell me other wise??
