Hiya

At what rev range should the turbo be boosting ?

ie 1500 rpm 1/4 boost, 5k rpm 3/4 boost etc?

Reason I ask is my ST doesnt seem to be boosting correctly, took the car for a quick spin on my lunch break, in 2nd gear and got 5k rpm, boost didnt go above 1/4.

Seriously, there must be 500 topics similar to this on here.... but basically, if your car is standard, the boost gauge will never go much above half. Also, the ST is torque limited in 1st and 2nd gear, so your not going to get full boost. Try putting it in 3rd, about 1500rpm and floor it, the boost gauge should blip up to just over half, then quickly settle back to half way. Get it remapped and you will be up into the red zone on the gauge though.

EDIT

Just seen your other posts...http://www.focusstoc.com/forums/Tad-Concerned-St-t57706.html

Seriously mate, if you already have a problem with your car its not going to be boosting properly... Go get it checked out by someone who knows what they are talking about. The ECU in the ST is pretty clever, I reckon if it thinks theres a problem it will knock down the boost. tarnock garage are not that far from you and well regarded on the forum, suggest you get your car checked properly, theres only so much people on here can suggest, ultimately it needs some hands on work. And if your getting 17 mpg you either drive like a
and will soon be
or theres something wrong with it....
