Please excuse if this is a stupid question but thought i would ask it anyway befor forking out ££££££ on a new exhaust! - I have a Scorpion cat back exhaust on the ST at the moment, it has 4" slash style tailpipes which i am now not that keen on. Can the tailpipes be ground off and new ones welded back on, cant think of any reason why not but curious to know if anyone else has done it?

On my Magnex the tailpipes are separate to the back box. They are sleeved on, so you can fit any (magnex) tailpipe , and they have one style of back box. That is not to say that any other make of exhaust' tailpipes couldn't be used, providing they had the same system and dimensions.
Might be worth checking Magnex, Mongoose etc to see if you could cut your tailpipes off and attach some new ones.
