would be top to get my hands on a 3D model of the entire car! Could really take it to bits and find out everything then!

Hmm, it goes to explain why a mates stock ST rolled just a touch over 230BHP as well.
The new Focus ST's motor management systems and knock sensors are calibrated to deliver nominal performance using 95 octane petrol. But, when other qualities of fuel enter the tank, the knock sensors adjust the spark timing and cylinder pressure accordingly.

Yet it also recognises and utilises the better anti-knock characteristics of superior 98 octane fuels. When using higher octane petrol, the performance improvement lies within the legal maximum limit of five percent - with a 225 hp engine, that's a noticeable difference of up to 12 hp.
Always thought it was 225 on 98RON not 95
