Dunno about that. Apart from one or two smaller electric cars which are still a match for their equivalents, they are blowing ice away! I am no electric fan but performance is not a problem for them. That new Tesla S 4wd is more than a match for C63 and M3/4

The problem they all have now is next years 95grm whole range limit along with strict individual limits. They cannot afford hardly any high emitters. Its become obvious that the years of fiddling and claiming autos (mostly slush boxes) were more economical has been turned in its head with wltp. They are far dirtier and less economical especially in Fords for some reason.

I think Ford are behind the curve for Autos. They haven't been investing into development too heavily as its typically been premium but now surprise! Its mainstream...

It surely must be more economical though.....otherwise what would be the point?

Some of these cars at the moment aren't at all. Lugging around two powertrains to only slightly increase economy whose effects probably have been negated to the environment by their production in the first place. Also the increase in price tag on the vehicle hardly makes the fuel saving cost effective..
