Can anyone tell me where the spark plugs live in the ST, I'm guessing under the plastic cover on top of the engine?

Does anyone have any extra info on the procedure for changing the plugs? I've had a look at the engine manual pdf that is floating about and that doesn't even mention them or details like the gaps needed.

As the ST is our only car I can't have it in the garage all day hunting for them or the wife won't be pleased!

Platinum/Iridium spark plugs come pre gapped.

They are under the two plastic covers on top of the engine.

You need to remove the five coils to gain access to the five plugs.

Its not an overly complex job, but is a lot more involved than doing old school escort and fiesta plugs...

If you have not done a set before allow approx one hour to change the plugs.

Thanks for finding that for me Chris, it's a great post from troy45 in that other thread, exactly the info I was looking for

I spent ages searching the forums looking for info on actually changing the plugs and all I found was discussion on types of plugs and RS plugs, maybe the technical info could be updated into a how to guide and stickied?
