Hi All,

I've seen a number of newer 57 plate and above Focus ST's that have a Sony stereo with a green and a red phone button on the front. Does this mean that the car has bluetooth handsfree?? Or is it just the same stereo used across the range. How easy is it to enable to bluetooth function on em?

Sadly not. If the car doesn't have Bluetooth built in it'll just put the stereo on mute. The only way to tell if the car has bluetooth is if on the steering column where the remote stalk for the stereo is, there should be a 'voice' button. If it has that then it'll have Bluetooth as you got both as an optional extra on ST's.

Also, to tell if you have bluetooth, press the green or red button, you will get.

Phone not connected.

or.

Mute.

If you get 'mute', you don't have bluetooth.

Thought that might be the case!

Seems a shame to have to replace the stereo with a bluetooth single DIN one, or I guess it means putting a parrot somewhere!
