So frustrated... Greenlight Insurance!

Just had a call from Greenlight Insurance following up from the online application.

Couldn't give me a quote lower than £2000 as i haven't had a car over 220bhp in the last 12 months

I'm very annoyed as the guy on the phone said if i had then it would be around £490 for the year which is cheaper than the quotes I'm getting for a standard car!

Frustrated is a understatement!!! Would of snapped their hand off at that price!
I feel your pain - Greenlight were the same with me - as I had gone from a 85bhp to 250bhp they were unable to quote - told me I could re-try for a quote after I had the car for a year!! Wouldn't mind but I am 48 years old and not a lady racer - infact my ST still scares me so I drive it more like miss daisy - but not that bad that it would cause problems for other road users!!

Admiral do not like intercoolers though. They are an instant "No thanks can't help you".

Do double check to make sure they have insured the cost of the mods too. Just because they offer cover does not not mean all your extras are included in any pay out. You may only get the value of the standard car. A few have fallen foul of this.
Sound advice - which is what I did before taking out my policy - they explained what would be covered and what wouldn't even if named on the policy. Mine are only cosmetic mods (for the time being)
