when ever i visit the site or open a new/refresh to a new page the shout box disappears heres my screen i know i have to click the drop down arrow but then i have to refresh to get txt to show, its annoying every time why is this

i have windows IE and safari on my PC have uninstalled and re-installed both on several occasions still does not work

Are trying to shout using your pm messenger ?

As you can imagine, if it is working for everyone else, it's an issue at your end.

Despite my title, I am no expert in these things on an individual level but I would suggest the following:

1) Remove all cookies and history for the site
2) Log off
3) Log back on again and expand the SB and refresh if necessary
4) Log off again
5) Log back on

It may sound daft, but most of the issues I have ever had on here over 3 years have been cured that way.

Anyone who actaully knows what they are talking about - feel free to add any comment.

I think you will find the latest Version of Safari is to blame.

Try the site in Internet explorer (As a cross comparison).

Then try everything as Rich has suggested above.

If this does not solve the issues reported then. I'm afraid for the moment its a small price to pay for using safari as your internet browser - that you have to keep (Expanding) The shoutbox every time you visit the site.

no matter what internet browser i use it still doesent work, IE, Safara and Chrome its still failing to open itself up :|

Does the SB use Flash or Java ?

Might be worth updating both of those components.

Id update the Java on your machine from the Jave site and try it again

Just updated Java and Flash, uninstalled and reinstalled IE 8 still doesent work :|

i`m not a pc geek by all means but i had the same thing now that you mention ie8, it caused no end of trouble for me and i got rid. i did to have a problem viewing the shout box until i uninstalled it and went on windows7.

i doubt if im right but im trying to help or hinder

( unitenstionally of course)
