Service Advice Needed

Just went in to Ford to ask about, how much would it cost and what does it get for the cars second service, I have 20,000 miles on the clock, the lady said it would cost £130 and all that is really required is an Air and Pollen Filter replacement... £130 for that I think I could do it myself, or is there more stuff they do? last time they serviced it all they did was spill oil on my engine muppets then charge me for the hastle of having to clean it off.

Is this all that gets done on a 20,000 service. ?

That's a good quote for the price but only if that includes the oil change and oil filter change, plus standard multi point inspection.
If they arent doing an oil change, then they dont know what they're doing.

A service is needed every 12,K or 12 months. If the car is still in warranty you need a receipt showing Ford parts where used and it must be a VAT registered garage.
Just off the phone to Ford they said for £130 I get Pollen & Oil filters and Oil change, don't replace air filter and plugs until the next service.

So i just booked it in.

Thanks for the advice guy's.
my dealer will do 1st and 2 year services for sub £100

I've just checked the Ford Service book and it states that for any Focus that is 06 or younger, for the second service you should get a full service which includes brake fluid, coolant and cam belt check.

I have just checked this and you are righ,t it say's on mine that 12,500 Interim then followed by 25,000 a full service, so thats it I'm going to cancel my service with them, been messed around with so many Ford Dealers in the past and wont be again.
Its a shame that they will tell you anything just to get your money.

Thanks for the heads up Foz
