So I’ve got all the bits and bobs for the RS airbox conversion! Tried having a go at getting it on, but I can’t quite figure it out. Seems the MAF is in the way (I’m using the standard crossover). Would any of you lovely lot be happy to come over to me (in sunny Hampshire) or for me to come over to you to help me out (for fuel & beer money)?

They do a lot, thanks! One last thing, did you have to trim your slam panel at all. If so, where and how much? That’s the last piece of the puzzle I need.

Errrm have you got a diesel slam panel ?

The oem one won’t be suitable for the rs airbox conversion I don’t think , and yes it’ll need trimming still hang on I’ll take a couple of pics for you

That’s the oem one it doesn’t have the bulgy bit needed to take the rs set up

That one is expensive tbh mine was about 30 quid FORD FOCUS FRONT AIR DUCT COVER RADIATOR PANEL DEFLECTOR 2008 - 2011 MK2 | eBay

PFL , although this will make no difference to airbox part it does need trimming to actually fit a pfl

Haha yes forgot to mention that I do have the diesel slam panel!

So @Phill P ‘s pic is better than mine you have to trim that bit out bud it’s a trial an error job, trim a bit see if it fits and rinse and repeat

Take your original slam panel trim and use it as a guide. Place the ends side by side to see the difference and to give yourself a guide as to what you need to remove. You can make a template too if you wish. It's quite easy to do.

I used tin snips for mine 👍

I used a Dremel on low speed, to avoid melting the plastic. Finished off with a light filing. Looks as if it was made that way.

Go slowly and adhere to the fact that you can take more off but can't put any back on!

Job sorted for the weekend then, will post up some pics if I am successful! Just got to fight all the wires out of the way!
