I can book a day on the MAHA machine installed at Marlin Motor Engineering in the centre of Bletchley, MK on saturday 5th.December

This Company has a modern MAHA AWD machine with software that is updated by the week, and along with power and torque measurement and plotting they will log via the OBD many other informative and usefull values at 100rpm intervals.

I had my own Focus ST on this machine some days ago and the results are indeed very informative and valuable.

The cost will be £35 plus VAT for up to 20 and £30 plus VAT if over that number.

This is as near to a reference quality set up as can be found with data recorded that I believe is rarely available from other events and will be valuable to those owners wanting to see more than a pair of fancy curves. The price will include time for second runs and some adjustments in between as was done last year by Volvo owners at a very busy similar all day event at Powerstation in Tewkesbury. They will run well into the afternoon if needed.

I would appreciate an indication of who will be interested.

Regards, Don.

Would've been up for this one mate, but I'm not around that weekend

Hopefully another visit can be sorted soon.

I'd be up for it, but need to check to see if I'm working that weekend or not.

Not a very satisfactory visit. The car would not pull properly throughout the rev. range.

Worth a try though as he came highly recommended by Power Engineering prior to getting their own new machine installed.

I have to say that I have experienced some pretty variable and quaint results with my ST in the same configuration on several of these OZ machines.

I have allways found MAHA machines to be very close in their recorded data whichever one you go to and Marlin have, as I say, the very latest MAHA software that records more data than I have seen recorded anywhere else on a rolling road and is more than sufficient to make some very accurate callibration and physical revisions.

Some years ago a number of Volvo owners also found the Dynapack installation at Abbey to match almost exactly the data of PE's and other Maha installations

Don.
This sounds good to me, getting the Mountune conversion on Saturday so this would be ideal if I can make it

Funny i have had no problem on the excellent and accurate Dyno Dynamics and Danny is a great operator if the Dyno Dynamics are no good why have PE just brought one

I would of brought The Peril along but dont think i would be very welcome it will be great to see your MTE 600 plus hp cars record some figures

Just a reminder that this looks to be shaping up as a good, albeit chilly & wet, day out with a variety of well modified Volvos and hopefully a few STs.

BBQ, cakes, coffee...tea...

Don.
Will try & make it if im not working such a busy time of year
I can remember the PE dyno also producing wildly varying figures compared to other dynos, but admittedly that was with very old software.

Don, I may pop over on Saturday, but won't be running as I think I have some clutch slippage at the moment.
Marlin Motor Engineers Ltd.,
Units 4 & 5 Wellington Place,
Bletchley,

Doors open at arround 8.00 expect first cars to be running about 9.00 and they are prepared to run through to late afternoon if we get a good turnout.
