All you need is the clutch plate and cover.
Others may have changed their slave cylinder, I don't know why, perhaps they could advise the reasons why it was necessary.

Because it costs
all to replace it at the time but a lot more if it goes in the future!


PS you also need the Dual Mass Flywheel!

yes you might aswell get the rs flywheel too 1575135

The standard flywheel is a dual mass as well, this helps to maintain not only a smoother idle but also helps you to pull away and a much smoother "engine brake". The ones on the early ST's were known to fail after time and the spring mechanisms within the dual mass has excessive play. The RS flywheel has stronger springs and a slightly different design to prevent this.

ok, so it went in today

we were prepared to buy the DMF if it was necesary, but didnt order it in case it was only the clutch suffering

guess what......

the clutch wasnt slipping at all!!!

it was the flywheel all along...

it gets better.......

my car already has an RS clutch on it!!!!!

and it looks as though its only done 1K miles!!!!

it would seem that it was playing up for the last owner, so when he/she uprated to an RS clutch....and it didnt solve the problem, they must have traded it in, out of despair!!!

so

my DMF is coming on friday, then we can get it all back on and get that car mapped once and for all!!!

DMS is coming from ford as i cant wait for online postage to get the car done

its £320+V.A.T. from ford....not sure if online is discounted like the clutch was
