anyone had problems? when i put mine in reverse i get a constant beep for about 10 seconds then nothing, even if theres something right behind me,any ideas?

its done it a lot this winter when the rear bumper has been covered in ice/snow but now its every time, will give it a clean tomorow see what happens, strange thing is i,ve never had them on a car before even a big 4x4 i had before the ST but now its not working i really miss it

had this on my 330d mate. its a knackered sensor.

If it's not covered under warranty then as Richard said it could be a build up of salt and grime around the sensors on the bumper and could be a cheap easy fix. try cleaning around them, hot water shampoo etc.

I had the same problem and done the above and also used a tooth pick to ease out all the
around the sensors and now mine work fine


They can also start playing up if there's a build up of wax or polish on them

all fixed now thanks, looks like i got a bit carried away with the polish last week
