I've heard the plastidip is really resistant to stone chips and damage, if done right. I did a grille with it on my last car, and was brilliant, I don't think it chips as easily because its quite soft.

The whole of my classic Mini is covered in Plastidip and is REALLY resistant to stone chips if you have enough layers on it!

Plastidiping the wheels will be fine!

RS alloys PlastiDip'd!

Plain Black:

Then finished with Silver Metalizer for a Gun Metal look:

PlastiDip is very resilient to marks, stone chips etc... the people that claim otherwise have either never used it, or have applied it incorrectly. I have had my front fogs and grille's PlastiDip'd for about a year now and they show no signs of chips, lifting, peeling etc...
