Place Key in Backup Location" message following alarm activation

Not my post but I’m having the same problem and it’s driving me mad. Not only does it scare the **** out of me every time but it’s also so loud and annoying going off every time when I leave for work early. I’ve had the car a year, it started doing this every once in a while in the last six months or so but the last week it has been every single time I open the car, I could have the key in my hand while touch the door for keyless entry and the alarm still blares until I use the buttons on the key to lock it then reopen with that. Any ideas?
