I have just finished painting the rear brake calipers on my car and it is looking very good! Fidley job but worth it. I can't decide if I want to do the front ones as well because they are much much bigger and I am worried it will be too much colour, car is electric orange. Anyone painted these before?

Yeah I was quite surprised the paint was ÂŁ4.99 on eBay and it's been very good. Indeed the weather has slowed the process as even strong wind can throw up dust and muck and ruin your job.

The bottle is much bigger then your standard touch up, and to make it last I just did the areas that are visable to the outside didn't see the point in painting areas that only the mechanic will see when he/she gets the wheel off.

I've done a few brush painting jobs on calipers over the years with various degrees of success as there is a lot of work involved in getting them looking right.

I recently decided to let my local custom shop powder coat my calipers front and rear in yellow. They look like they just came fresh from the factory now.

Cost a couple of hundred and then some ,but I never got my hands dirty or had to get out of bed.

yeah dont think i could justify that cost to my wife, I will stick to painting them myself lol @James Jack
If you fancy yellow, then I have a set of 4 properly refurbished (including seals and pistons) sat on the shelf... I had them done and then found Mountune 6 pots...
