ive just bought an st and noticed that the oil pressure goes up and down when driving, when its sitting parked ticking over it sits just under 1/2 on the guage when driving along it sit about 3/4 and when u floor it it goes up to 5 the when u come off the throtle it drops back to 3/4 is this normal??

might just b a silly question??

just realised your from n ireland m8 me to ive got full stainless miltec exhaust including manifold and GGR induction kit? would u recommend a re-map? and who would u recommened to do it cheers??

remap definately mate. pm'd you details of mine.
you need to spend a tenner and join here mate its the st bible when you have full access

Guys dont know if mines right. 1st thing in the morning when cold , It starts right up on the 5 drops off a bit, then drops down just under after 5 mins or so. Then its like what been said already, when the oil gets warm. Its the same in the evening after work at 6.30pm . only had the car 5 days , so not up to speed on the st after owning vauxhalls .Is its because the oils cold .

when the oil is cold = higher pressure.
when its warm = less pressure.
once you rev the car the oil pressure will rise.
on tickover it will fall.
as long as its not in the red its fine.
