Lets us know, I thought it sounded like a flywheel. Could be wrong though, see if the noise increases when you rev slightly as we'll.

That don't sound good at all but as les has said does it rise with engine revs as to me it's sounds like the sound is coming from the bottom of the engine

i dont think its a pulley, theyre on the other side of the engine. could be flywheel as the gearbox is on the passengers side so would be louder there

yes mate it goes when you put your foot on the clutch and rises with revs

does that suggest flywheel ?
i wonder if this would be covered by warranty

If you're getting the flywheel replaced under warranty, ask if you can pay the extra to upgrade to the RS version, and ask if you pay for the RS clutch that they can put that in at the same time

It'll save you paying for labour when you come to do it further down the line.

i will definatly try that
my local ford arent much good , iv had 3 services there and every time they leave bolts undone and they wouldnt fit rs pluggs
so if they wont i will try some other garages ,

i think i will be selling my st at the end of the year tho.

Eh? RS Plugs are now standard fitment in all ST servicing by Ford.
i dont know about that mate ? but 6 months ago i had a service at my local ford and i asked if they could use rs pluggs and they said no
it was a prepayed for service if that makes any diffrence ?

Not sure, but I'm fairly confident that it was the plugs that Ford changed to RS Spec in servicing. Someone else may be able to confirm.
