Niggling Problems

1. Rubber above windscreen comes up (whistles above 60mph or so). Can push it down as a temporary fix.

2. Booting it frequently results in a low windscreen washer fluid warning.

3. Rain water pours off the tailgate into the boot when I open it.

Obviously, none of these detract from the enjoyment of driving, but has anyone got any fixes for these? Would a dealer be interested in fixing them under warranty?

1 - a dab of silcone might hold it down.

2 - might be a sensor mis aligned, not sure how you would solve it tbh

3 - this annoys me too! especially when i have washed the car, dryed it then open the boot and it puts water everywhere!

1. If your car is in warranty, I would have thought this would probably be a warranty fix. Worth asking.

2. Put more in!!
Seriously though, may be a sensor is incorrectly positioned, or you have a hole in your washer fluid reservoir.

3. Later cars had some strips that go down the side of the boot glass to prevent this from happening. I believe that these can be purchased seperately. Some on here can probably point you in the right direction, or ask at your Ford dealer. It is a known issue, but probably not a warranty "fix".

PS --> Don't forget to join up as an owner member. Lots more information on the site. Best £10 you'll ever spend. Well, that's not true - there's a place just south of Manchester where a tenner will buy you an awful lot.....
But you know what I mean....

My windscreen seal thingy also came loose and I poked it back down after fraud dusted their hands of it "trim warranty is only 12 months mate" "yeah but that shouldn't go ever regardless, I don't mind if you just bodge it I just don't see why I should pay for it" "12 months mate"
Was thinking of gluing it down but it hasn't popped back up so haven't bothered.

As for the others, welcome to
ownership
I think the washer level bing is the most asked about bing the dash gives out

1 . I had this very same problem and cured it with black frame sealant .

2 . Check for leaks . Cant help much more with this one .

3 . As Choccy said , there are plastic strips that can be fitted to the edge of the glass . I fitted them last winter and it solved the problem . I cant find the Finis code but i am sure they were £14 each .
