I am new to this and after seeing the shine on alot of your cars i decided to go out and buy myself some cleaning, clay, polish and wax gear rather than just the old bucket and sponge.

I cleaned the car first then clayed everyting except the doors and roof, i could see the weather was going to turn bad and i don't have a garage. Anything clayed i then polished only to give some protection, not waxed yet.

I want to finish this off tomorrow so will i have to start again from sctrach and polish everything again, will the polish be cleaned off when i wash it as it wasn't waxed in time?

Shampoo is Meguiars Gold Class
Polish is Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish
Wax is Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0

Just wash and dry it off, finish claying, polish the bits you clayed, then wax over the whole thing.... The polish you have already put on will not be effected...

Good, cheers for that. I'll post some piccys when i've finished if weather is OK tomorrow if anyone wants to see my first attempt
