Hi all,

All I want to do is buy some new tail pipes. Any idea's where? I've noticed that they need a 'L' shaped pipe to go with it so obviously cant go into halfords (or halfrauds as people like to call them on here!) etc.

I just want something more athetically pleasing.

i'm sure team torquesteer sell just the tail pipes,and i think there the piper one's,there's is a couple of designs.

or just get in contact with piper,from memory there about 60 quid for a set of 2.

its not torquesteer,just had a look, but someone does sell just the tailpipes.

If it's for a standard exhaust then there is none I am afraid, only after market ones with larger bore pipe and would mean cutting and welding the standard back box.

If it's a after market one the I think Profile Automotive are now doing tail pipes in a few designs and might be able to help you.

is it possible to cut the standard tail pipes off and refit a bigger tail pipe on by welding it? is this possible and does any one know who caould do this?

if you can find a custom exhaust builder near you they will be able to fit new tail pipes you your system. i know there are a few around near me.

As gray said anything is possible and wont be a problem for a good welder to reduce the size of the pipes

Thanks you lot. I guess more investigation is needed! Anything is possible - its just how much I want to spend since its just for looks for now.

I would get some quotes, it might work out cheaper to buy a cat back with the tail pipe of your choice without making much difference to the noise if that's what you want but with a little more deeper notes when you accelerate
