hi just brought a 55 plate focus st which is standard apart from a k&n filter and theres a couple of things about it i find a little odd and wanted to ask other owners if it was normal or not. When it hits full boost just where it gets to the red on the gauge it immediatley drops back to half way on the gauge and you can feel the power drop off, ive had lots of turbo cars before and theyve always held full boost for a lot longer and you only feel the power tail off slightly at the top end of the rev range, also it makes quite a high pitched whistleing kind of noise when the turbos spinning. Not sure if it may have a boost leak or something or if these issues are normal. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm assuming you are yet to pay the £10...

What you are refering to is the torque limiter, designed to save the clutch. The torque is limited in 1st and 2nd on the ST. This will have little or no bearing on the amount of boost though. Sounds like you have a remapped car, check your insurance as it may be invalid.

Where did you buy it from..?
