Technically I haven't got it yet, but I'll be picking it up Monday so heyho.
Here it is, a 2009 face lift mk2 in panther black. Pictures are naff as one is pinched of the advert and the other 2 I took just after putting a deposit down.

Anyway after seeing the post about the knock down castrol 5w30 in halfords I thought I'd get some stuff ready. £34 for the 8lt of oil and £57 for pollen filter, oil filter and 5 rs plugs.

I believe the plugs I've bought are the RS plugs.

Looks great , let the modding commence,
Not sure about the plugs though as RS ones are ford boxed but I'm sure someone will come along shortly to confirm .
Enjoy

Yeah genuine rs plugs are fomoco branded I think but going of posts I'd read they are bosch plugs and cross referencing comes back with the part number 0 242 236 528.

Nice car,now enjoy the sound of the 5pot motor, very addictive-I've always got a smile on my face when I drive her
Maybe a little too addictive. Although fuel economy wasn't as bad as if expected under normal driving today I was getting between 29 and 30 mpg, but it does drop a fair bit with some heavy right foot.

You've got to have at least stage remap, the car is very tame standard,a map will unleash the cars potential you ll be surprised ,so easy to plod in sixth in 30mph zone but pick up is instant, yes fuel can be expensive(if you drive it like you stole it) I no people who spend£600 to 1000 a month and it's not they're daily(abuse) car .Idiots,I work hard (70 plus hrs a week) but I just get so much enjoyment from my car.I love her, enjoy

The first job I've done on my st, replacing the awful centre caps and so called 'chocolate' wheel nuts.

Thought I'd go all out and get some genuine caps.

Nice to see someone doing the sensible things first... service, wheel nuts, etc

Looks like a nice motor.
Will be doing the service next week, haven't had time yet between work.
I think I'm going to run it for a good few months first, then I'll start playing with remaps and intercoolers and stuff.

Wise to wait so you can evaluate what you want rather than guess straight away and regret later.

I started with an intercooler and then a stage 1 remap.

Normal maintenance should always take priority.

Don't think I'll be going anything over stage 1. Was thinking stage 1 bluefin and airtech intercooler, Symposer delete then maybe down pipe and sports cat.

As for today I think a wash is on the cards Wheel Tire Car Vehicle Vehicle registration plate

Most people tune them to around 300bhp or over and are very happy with that performance. Only snag with that is you'll need the cash outlay for shim mod and performance clutch in addition to re-map and go faster hardware, Steve.
Also some boost system components will probably need replacing or uprating cos of the extra whoosh. It ain't cheap.

Thanks. I'm not really looking for big power, I'd be happy around the 270 mark. I'd already factored in the cost of an RS clutch and flywheel for when it needs doing, seems pointless to put a standard one on when there's a better one out there.

Nice one mate, looks good washed..lol

One of the first things I bought for mine was gen Ford centre caps, the ST wing badges and some Bosch wiper blades.
That 5 pot burble is addictive though.

Couldn't stand driving with the bloody awful Evergreen tyres any more, constantly spinning the wheels or setting the esp off. So this morning phoned around and a local tyre fitter had some Michelin ps4 in.
