my alternator just packed in
, st now on the back of a wagon , in my drive so that was lucky , recovery man told me its the 3rd one he has recovered this week ,just as well i took extra warranty 06 plate 39000 miles , bit scary the powersteering fails,need to be pop eye to drive it ,now the proud driver of a kia pride 1.1 240 bhp lol,beats walking i guess

I think it's a common Ford thing to be honest. I've had two focuses and an escort and all of them had to have new alternators at about 40-50k.. last one cost me about 200 quid fitted and a rescue from the nice people at RAC


so far so good with the current
but i wont be surprised when the dashboard lights up and the whole thing grinds to a halt at about 40k!
Worth it in my opinion though....

LOL must be a wales thing, mine has jus died like 2 hours ago and is currently on 41k, so looks like i`ll be having same xmas pressie as you this year, a bill for 185 bucks, thanks Mr. Ford. Has anyone on here changed one and if so how hard are they to do???

I hope its not a welsh thing as mines on 33000 and a 06 plate !!!
Ok so far but I'm just waiting for it to go
