Big thanks to the guys at Dreamscience for updating my car to 7BUG for me and for giving me the Strategem 7 update.

I then sat around waiting for the delivery of induction kits but it never came

Jared had it worse though as he spent hours sat outside the office waiting for the delivery on Saturday as well and it still hasn't come! Should hopefully have it delivered on Tuesday now.

Drive home to Manchester was alot better than the drive to Hull! I though my car was quick before but Mod C pulls a lot harder and just keeps on pulling! Very impressed.

It was doing it morning but not yesterday afternoon... Very strange. Need the RS clutch to be honest but no chance of that for a while. It's ok if I use the gears and not floor it at 30mph in 5th or 6th. Still annoying though
tell me about it

getting mine done on wed £500= all in

then a bit more for a custom remap on a RR

cant wait!

Bet you can't wait mate. It's a big kick in the back when you put your foot down compared to running DSCi with full mods

Just that damn clutch
I'll see how it goes... The DSCi map only had the odd day when it did it so I'm hoping its the same with this map

Why is it that when people remap they get clutch slip?

Les
i was under the impression its only 07 models

batch of dodgy clutches that year
I've done 36,000 miles (25,000 remapped) on my first ST, and 16,000 miles (all remapped) on my current ST, and Ive never had clutch slip!. Current one has the spec in my sig running 300 bhp and 342 lb/ft with no issues!

EDIT: first ST was a 56 plate, my current is a 58 plate!

Has anyone actually ever proved this?
dunno

but mine is 07 and slipped as soon as i re-mapped

not heard of any 05/6/8/9 going like this myself
Mine is the same spec as Dave619 , with over 300BHP and 36lbls/ft an it has never slipped ... on a 56 plate with 25000 miles . Have done 8000 on Mod C and had no trouble so far

Hard for me to get a direct comparison now my ST's had an engine transplant but the original 56 plate engine would slip in 5th and top acceleating from low speed when I ran DSCI. Think I never ran Mod C with engine #1.

Point I was making generally is that nothing has ever come out which shows there was an actual quality issue with certain model year clutches (Ford's model years don't run the same as reg plates) unless there was a problem with clutches going on standard cars being claimed for under warranty they'd be unlikely to change things. Plus there's the technicals of how the clutch and DMF work that mean in a lot of cases it's actually the DMF which momentarily slips, not the clutch itself.

But the clutch subject has been done to death and beyond
, with Mod C i held off running it for along time, using Mod B+ instead and having tried it now I didn't like it that much. So changed back to Mod B+. Handy feature having so many maps to choose from

08 plate facelift here with 12,000 miles on it. Been running DSci for 3 months or so and the clutch is just starting to slip in 4th, 5th & 6th at low revs just as the turbo kicks in. Annoying

mine tends to happen in 6th at 60mph when i boot her, if only the RS clutch was a bit cheaper...

Mine's a 07 plate. Easiest way to stop it happening is to use the gears and not rely on the torque. For example if you're going 60mph and need to get a move on then drop into 4th and go

Mines an 07 and it started slipping as soon as I loaded DSCI, it slips in 3rd now at high revs with modB+

On the subject of clutch slip - my car is a 56 plate and has just done 22000,running dreamscience race +,cat back exhaust and induction kit,and since exhaust and ind kit ive started with clutch slip (done 5 times now between 2500 -3000 each time)-so its not just limited to 07 cars.Has anyone got any ideas for uprated clutch apart from new RS clutch upgrade ?
The new RS clutch kit is the one I will go for, just a bit annoying that's it's £900, although mine's been slipping for ages now and not got any worse so I may just leave it a year or two.

What is the turbo pressure at 6000 rpms with the Mod C?

My turbo pressure at 6000 rpms is 0.8-0.9. It´s ok?

Join the club mate. If it starts slipping and juddering when I'm setting off I think I will change it. Until that day I'm saving my pennies
