Another one here with the estate due to the little one. Absolutely love it. Glad to hear the mpg gets better, not that I bought it for the mpg but currently not too great, only getting 7mpg more on average than my mustang GT I had. Same journeys

This is all IMHO, by the way. It looks to me like the top strip is supposed to get wider as it goes from inside to outside, You can see this in the pic below, but whenever I see one lit up, it looks like the inner & outer pairs don't match, it's hard to explain. This does seem worse on the estate, where the inner/outer split is further outboard.
Also I don't like the "boomerang" effect of the outer lamp, which to me makes the car's ass look fat. The 4.5 resolves that. IMHO.

not sure which is the top, on my screen they are side by side. The red car is a FL, the dark (grey?) is PFL. The FL lamp theme (I think they call it "design language") with the loop all the way round is same as Puma, and I assume the Kuga FL will get something similar.so the top pics the facelift? cant say ive even noticed that before
I did notice because I'm very nerdy about taillights and do think IMO that Ford have been doing a pretty poor job of taillights for many years. What didn't change from PFL to FL is that the indicators and brake lights are still filament bulbs, whereas the tail light, fog & reverse are LED. "LED rear lights", they say in the brochure. At least for the MK3.5 they said "LED technology rear lights" which gave you a clue that they'd cheaped out on part of it. Oh well, another thing that the owners can spend £20 or £30 upgrading, grrrr!

I've hung onto my Golf GTi for longer than I would normally (change just under the 3 year point) but it was the last of the 3 doors that has been a deciding factor previously. That meant a slightly bigger field but in essence came down to another (but 5 door) GTi (over £40k), i30N or an ST. I even dreamed of a Type R (should have bought one just before the factory shut) but the prediction was £46k+ and has ended up at £50k+. I couldn't risk waiting any longer as the dark days of electric loom ever closer. This is getting spooky! Prior to visiting the dealer, I did a fair bit of internet trawling. There are lots of bad reviews of: the fake carbon fibre inserts, lots of cheap looking black plastic, underwhelming exhaust tips, a start/stop button that looks like part of the dash and the fad for putting almost every control into the touch screen. Someone even commented that one of the Ford designers must have seen the complaints on social media about VW doing it and thought it was good idea to do the same.
Ordered yesterday, Agate Black & Performance Pack, estimated end of July.
The Mountune Mud Flaps should fit the latest model and even fit the Estate with just a little hole needed to be drilled under the Diffuser. Not cheap though...
