I ordered mine in January with a delivery date around September. I got a call this week and it's landed at the dealership! Just shy of 3 months.
Whilst I am pleased for you this really ****** me off. My order has been sat in a compound for 5 months now waiting for a shipping slot. I am not the only one who's in the same situation.

May I ask where you are located in the country?

It is just because his spec will have already been built and lying somewhere, just a shipping exercise. Yours is already built just likely missing a module or two that they are struggling to get hold off. They won’t admit it which is the worst thing. Personally, I would cancel.

I would say that explains it but there are others that have picked their orders up with the same or similar spec to mine that and track pack cars also with similar add ons are out there now too... so who knows

These cars are at most dealers too, was looking at green one yesterday at York Ford. Dealer stock is Fords priority not random factory orders who will be made to wait. I suspect most of these cars have been built for some time (dates are all over under the bonnet but nobody wants to say what theirs are!) and just pot luck if your colour choice matches what’s available, R/H drive and the modules are available to go with it. Could also be they are not prepared to release more cars with software and hardware faults, if that’s the case it’s beneficial for you, although as I’m still waiting for a sync 3 update fix over 2 year later I wouldn’t hold my breath !

Well I cancelled and literally 2 hours later I seen a post from a dealer 2 hours away from me that had a near identical one just come in to stock. Enquired about it and whilst the spec was a little different to what I ordered and £186 more expensive I went for it. Pick up Saturday. Unfortunately this one doesn't come with the Blind Spot system and the Parking Pack but it does have everything else. The one I had on order had both those options but not the HUD. After sitting in it, the visibility out the rear windows was much better than I expected so I was happy to loose the Blind Spot stuff.

When I get it home I'll check to see if the loom for the modules are there and if so I'm maybe look to retrofit it at a later date.

Nice one @Rossdh91

I don't have Bliss on the ST but do on the Puma. Whilst it's nice I don't miss it.
I had it on my old Mk8 Fiesta ST and loved having it. It definitely more of a nice to have but I have loads of other toys on this one to keep me happy anyway. Those along with all the juicy upgrades I have here waiting on it!

@[email protected] FLUX I'll likely be in touch;)

Hope you get a decent quote with Adrian Flux.

After Dan's postings on here and the offer of a reduced rate for members, Adrian Flux was the first company I went to when renewing my car insurance last month.

LV had not only pushed the renewal price up significantly but the excess to £650 per claim on my mk4.5 ST.

I had potentially four cars insurance to give them as the whole families cars renew on the same day due to having multi car policies when the kids were first starting out. Unfortunately the very helpful lady at Adrian Flux didn't even get as far as giving me a price when she found she couldn't reduce the price or get my excess below £500. The phone call ended at that point.

I don't like email only contact policies but bit the bullet and went with Aviva in the end who got the price a lot cheaper and excess down to £100.

If you don't get any joy with Adrian Flux, I'm currently with a company based in a southern seaside town where there was a battle who were very competitive.

Hi.
I'm sorry we couldn't help out with your insurance but thanks for giving us a try.
Regards,
Dan

After having a stealth grey ST a few years back, that was probably my favourite car I’ve owned. I have now gone for a black ST estate, due to having a dog and little one. Looking forward to it arriving although it is supposedly a four month wait!

Great estate, biased; I’ve got one! Had mk4 hatch and estate, much prefer estate for looks and practicality. MK4 definitely looks better in dark colours, black especially, but the heat inside in summer is unbearable for me so went grey. Unfortunately you lose a chunk of space in the boot with the b&o and spare they don’t mention but it’s still very good, twice as good as hatch. I’m getting pushing towards 40mpg now after 13k, not so good for first 6 or 7 k though. Run it in properly and you will get similar if your road conditions are favourable.
