Have you got yours yet? Mine's been stuck at Dagenham for two weeks now and 2 ETA have come & gone (5/11 and 12/11) with seemingly no delivery date in sight. Spoke to the dealer yesterday who said they are waiting on quite a few cars to be delivered. I'm wondering if there is a problem Dagenham end getting cars to dealerships?

Picking mine up Saturday, currently at Romford pdi and arriving at dealers this Friday. I feel your pain as mine was built 1st September and just got stuck for 8 weeks in a holding facility. Apparently Dagenham is really busy the dealer said.

I'd have been quite happy to wait but the dealer had told me 3 failed ETA's, the first of which I adhered to and sold my car elsewhere to save hassle and get a better price. The downside - a 4 mile bike commute to work every morning while I wait...I'm not a fan of this weather 🤣

mine was built a few days after yours - I feel quite lucky really - I ordered it in January and I collected it in September. When I ordered my 1st mk3.5 it was 6 months due to being a new model. So to have only 3 months extra wait with covid/Ukraine/chip shortage is not bad at all. But I know people have waited much longer.

You will lose a months road tax, you need to wait until 1st of December that’s nearly two weeks.

For those that are finally getting the cars, let me know how you get on with the battery. It’s my only complaint of the car so far, getting terrible battery drain. Im absolutely loving it in every other way though, such a great car.

@James_82 Interesting comment about battery drain.

My wife's uncle has a 69 plate Focus Vignale which had lots of problems from new.
Battery drain to even being dead when they tried to unlock the car. That turned out after a lot of visits to the garage to be a battery fault.

Battery drain has never been reported as an issue and I certainly haven’t had it on my two Mk4 ST’s. Mine stands for a couple of weeks sometimes without any issues whatsoever. Your battery should not go flat for at least a month or two parked up

I think your battery is knackered. Not really surprising as it’s likely a lot of these cars were built a good while ago and being standing waiting for parts to complete them. Once a battery goes completely flat there is no way back for it, must be replaced. If you check the dates on the parts under the bonnet, like lights etc that will give you a good idea when the car was actually built, usually about 3-4 weeks after the dates.

@blackjacknz you are going to be one of the few people in Australia who are going to own the Mk4.5. Keep it and you might have a future classic. Congrats it looks amazing!

It’s my only complaint of the car so far, getting terrible battery drain.

There’s a thread on a Focus forum with a few ST owners having an issue with batteries. Likewise with the matrix lights pixelating at times.

I haven’t experienced either problems yet. Pixelating happens to me when I’m entering garages, but not on the road.

I know it’s a nightmare i put mine on a trickle charger and that has solved the problem. Don’t use as a daily so leave on charger all week that has made a massive difference

I'm expecting issues as I only use the car once a week, for about 25km. The only thing I have noticed so far is that a couple of times the outside and inside lights haven't come on when the car is unlocked. Work OK as soon as it starts. So far, auto stop/start still works. With my last mk3.5 the stop/start hardly ever worked, only after a 100km drive, then worked for 2 weeks. I was hoping they had got rid of that system.
