Check this one out guys, Ford HUngary updated the official price list for the MK4.5 Focus. Basically it is the same as before with slightly increased prices here and there (due to record high inflation rate last year...no comment)...except, look at the top right corner. ST Azura Edition? What on earth is that?
Image

Basically it is a fully fitted Track Pack version of the car (so all available extra pack is fitted with it as standard, at least based on the full price list). Really looks like the ST Edition for the MK4. However later on they say color is Azura color exclusive to this edition etc. Initially I though this is just a typo and it should be AzurE edition, but either way I could not find any info online about Ford releasing a kind of last hurray edition for 2024 in the same fashion as the ST Edition was produced for the MK4 (where the track pack parts were introduced basically, then repackaged as an optional extra pack)

Interesting! I can't find any mention of it in Germany, I'd expect it to appear in here first. It makes sense that there will be some kind of run-out model, as the Focus production ends sometime mid-2025. It would be great if there was something really special like a performance boost but I think it's unlikely. Maybe just a unique colour which they used to have in Saarlouis anyway for the mk4 Edition.

Yeah it makes sense to me as well, the real surprise was that I have not found anything about it online, apart from this pricelist. They have not updated the brochure (or not yet anyway) so no info (or pictures) about it in there either. Perf. boost ore extra features are very unlikely indeed (and also the pricelist does not elude to such upgrade either), really looks like an MK4.5 version of the ST Edition with the azura blue paint, track pack and all extra stuff fitted that you can possibly order to the car.

Yeah now that you mention it, kinds of seems very-very similar. It makes sense to use the same color one the "special" edition as a throwback to the RS (especially considering there was no RS version of the MK4(.5) Focus), but why they would be labeling it with a different name is beyond me. Kind of unnecessary.

If its gonna happen all across Europe then its obvious that Ford will throw everything that they have left in the parts bin at one last "Special Edition" before they close the books for good on the Focus in the next year.

The downside - no doubt this will be a £40K+ car and thus pricing most normal owners completely out of the market.
Its kinda hard to stomach that I bought a fully loaded MK3 RS for £34k all of 7 years ago and a fully loaded ST in 2024 will cost close to £43k - how the hell that is acceptable is beyond me...

Quickly translated for the non Hungarian speakers...
Thanks, I can do some proper translation too, but it is really not needed, the pricelist and options are the same as everywhere else basically, including UK. The "point" of this alleged Azura edition rellay is that all extras are ticked and they come as standard (apart from the sunroof, but then again that cannot be ordered with the Track Pack either). Price of the car reflects this, basically if you had ordered a fully kitted car with track pack and the most expensive paint option (mean green or frantastic red) you would get the price of this Azura edition.

Price is correct, converted to GBP it is about 38.8k. We have 27%VAT, that is already included.

Speculation I would say. Called a dealer about this edition Friday last week, basically they could not tell much else, apart from supposedly coming as per internal communication hence they included the price and the specs into the pricelist.

I would not say it is confirmed...maybe they jumped the gun based on unconfirmed internal plan or something. Don't look too much into it, just wanted to probe the community here if anyone else heard something about it.

However, I must say apart from the azure blue color there seems to be no reason waiting for it or to get excited: if you spec a manual hatch with Track Pack and all extras that can be ordered, you basically get the same car (again apart from the color), at least based on the specs indicated via the pricelist.

If it came in (wishful thinking) under the magic £40k mark (and we all probably accept there is no chance) then I would order one in a heartbeat as I'm stuck for options when my 2 year PCP deal ends next year but there is a fine line between "want" and stupidity when it comes to Ford and there crazy price increases in the last 2 years - I paid £35k for my pretty much fully loaded ST in Feb 2022....the same car if I ordered today would be just under £41k plus the higher VED. I dont think Ford will shift that many of these if, and lets be realistic here, the price is put somewhere around the £43/44k bracket - thats just silly money for what it is, especially when the MK4 editions were retailing at around £31k when they were released...

I had a fiesta ST edition, immaculate, low miles. Sold it in November, and as much as I get pulled into more "Premium" brands, I'm a Ford petrol head at heart, and I would order a Track Pack Focus, however I would ONLY want blue... specifically the Blue of the ST Editions.

As such, I really hope this appears soon - makes sense that they do a final edition, with the newer seats, infotainment etc, but based on the fiesta not seeing anything further, I'm not very hopeful. We shall see....

So - its official and the order books open in April. Base price of £42800 and 7.9% apr if financing. Ford really are smoking some crazy s**t asking that for a car just as we've officially entered a recession...
Its not like its even fully loaded - HUD, Parking pack and bliss are optional extras thus pushing the price closer to £44k for what? Its not even close to and RS.

I'd be interested if @Prolixus could translate the full spec offered on Ford Hungary to see if the spec of their car is any different - but its still disgusting that the car is under £39k in Hugary where the VAT is 27% and nearly £4k more here where the VAT is 20% - we really are ripped off royaly

Where have you seen it is official? Btw, dont forget there is a thing called regional pricing. Cars tend to be a bit cheaper in poorer countries with lower GDP and purchasing power per capita. I would say it is still proportionally more expensive here, if I look at the average income and stuff compared to what people earn in the UK.

Anyway, I am happy to do a proper translation, although going over the entire pricelist line by line would be a pain so I would rather just give an overview. Feel free to ask for specifics, though. What you need to know is that "base" ST here is called ST X kit, it has things like the adaptive matrix LED headlight, AGR certified performance seats, 19" ST wheels, rear camera, keyless entry, HUD, wireless charging, tinted rear glass etc as standard.

In HUngary you could order the following extra pack to the car:

  • Performance Pack - since the introduction of the MK4.5 this basically meant CCD suspension, although the marketing materials were a bit misleading. Interestingly, this was corrected with this new '24 pricelist
  • ICE package 70 --> B&O audio
  • Driver assist pack --> containing traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise with lane assist, cross traffic alert with active break assist, auto high beam (of course)
  • Black roof and mirrors
  • Track Pack
  • Parking pack --> wide angle rear camera, door protector, active park assist
  • Sunroof
  • Winter Pack --> heated front seats, steering wheel and windshield
  • Towbar

As per the pricelist, the Azura Edition has everything from the above, except the towbar (cannot be fitted with Azura, same as with any TP fitted car), sunroof (cannot be fitted with Azura, same as with any TP fitted car), performance pack (obviously) aaaand weirdly, the parking pack is not included. Black bits, track pack, driver assist pack, winter pack, the B&O audio comes as standard with it.

The only other difference between the Azura and the fully fitted TP car is the color both inside and outside: azura blue paintjob (code: PSTDD) and motion blue stitching in the inside, instead of the usual red of the ST. So yeah, apparently we have the HUD, BLIS etc as standard but not the parking pack. Btw, cheap ass Ford basically increased the price of the parking pack from 95000HUF (~200GBP) to 140000HUF (~305GBP) in this new '24 pricelist.

With the 2024 EV mandate decent finance deals are all going to be on EV’s now I think. 7.9% APR and that list make it one very expensive Focus, for the truly committed to getting a blue 4.5 or hoping to have some scarcity value in years to come only. 7.9% is expensive though, especially as it was 0 up until the New Year.

Ford have messed up big style with their failed electric fantasy. They now have to sell 15% electric cars too which will be almost impossible, so a tactic it seems is to sell very few at extortionate prices to us mugs ( not a chance!) to compensate for the huge electric losses and help keep the number of ICE cars down. Trouble is they need us to go along with it, are we that gullible? I would like to think and hope not.

Thats the point isnt it - the whole Azura blue has already appeared on the MK4 Edition, the Fiesta ST Edition and now on the Puma ST so its not like its an "exclusive"...as I said elsewhere - it would actually work out more economical to stay with what I have and get it wrapped if I really wanted that colour but as @Pitsparky alludes to - there are alot of rivals in that price brakcet that are infinitely better cars so I guess it may be time to look away from the Blue Oval.

I did drop a cheeky email to the Ford CEO to congratulate her on the decision to take the last performance Ford well and truly out out of the reach of "normal working class" owners who have propped the brand up for years - I'm not expecting a reply :ROFLMAO:

All Cupra’s with the 2 litre engine are more than £40k so are still expensive cars. Even with 0% finance the lowest spec 2 litre with no paint option would be £80 per month more than I’m going to be paying, assuming the same deposit, discount and terms.

Likewise the i30, expensive finance options. Of the facelift ever comes out, and it’s ruinous on fuel.

Not a great selection out there now I’m afraid, Ford well and truly missing a trick by ramping prices and finance costs up.

Damned, missed that 🤣 By the looks of it that ought to be standard not a £100 extra.

Doesn’t look like the prices have actually increased, somewhat miraculously. Also clarifies they all get rev matching and track mode.

i just checked the e call and its just the emergency call set up. looks like they have even started to charge extra for that now ,i thought it was standard fit for safety reasons, obviously not,so if your upside down in a ditch i bet you will be thinking i knew i should have forked out that extra £100
