Have been reading some articles about mapping on a rolling road in PPC magazine. Main benefits seem to be enhanced performance and in some cases better fuel economy. If I'm honest, I know very little about the technical issues. I assume its a bit like tweaking carbs in the old days (yes I am that old!!) but seems more effective.

Can anyone give any advice on the following points:

1. Is it worth considering or a waste of money?

2. Would it increase engine wear and shorten the life of my motor?

3. I am aware you would need to advise your insurers of any mods but does mapping count as a mod?

Would be interested to hear anyones thoughts. Thanks in advance folks!
