Hi all,

Was driving home earlier and giving the car a bit of a push (really hard). After a while I noticed I had lost quite a bit of power and when I put my foot down I accelerated but nowhere near what it should do. I let the car cool down for a small period and then back to no issues. Any idea what this could be? TIA

It is mate yeah. It does have a stage 1 map which collins said would be completely safe on stock hardware. Just starting to thing I pushed it too hard for too long

Standard intercooler is fine I ran a map on both my MK3 ST's which was more aggressive than the Collins map and never suffered with heat soak.

The main problem with heat in the MK3 is exhaust gas temps as the manifold is cast into the head and only thing that will solve that is a sportscat/downpipe which Collins recommend for stage 2
