Keyless Start

I have the key free system on my pre-facelift. I don't know if there's a specific distance but I'll bet the car will keep going until the ignition is turned off . When my fob is a certain distance away from the car I just get a message on the display, nothing more and the car keeps running!

Once started the car will keep running until the engine is switched off regardless of any distance between the car and the key fob, Not the best design in the world

What he said!!!

The salesman in the showroom explained that he drove to work once with his wife, she borrowed the car to go down to London. Neither realised he still had the key until she tried to lock the car in london (over 150 miles away), OUCH!!!

If you had to drive the car with keys it would defeat the 'keyless' part

true but I think the logic behind it is to keep the keys in your pocket/handbag... Not dropping your missus off somewhere, driving off and only realising she has them after you have turned the car off and go to lock it
